Jerry Lannen, Founder & Project Manager

Jerry Lannen founded Glen Arbor Construction in 2021 in response to the increasing demand for new home construction and extensive remodels in the area. With 18 years of experience in new builds and over 35 years of experience in the building industry, Glen Arbor Construction was borne out of Jerry’s dedication to providing Glen Arbor with a skilled team to focus on the needs of the community.

Jerry has worked with homeowners in Glen Arbor for the last 10 years. Typically out in the field, he works tirelessly to ensure that his clients’ homes are built to the highest standard, in a timely fashion, and within their budget.

Jerry moved to Northern Michigan in 2004 and lives in the Long Lake area.  In his spare time, Jerry enjoys pickleball, golf, and travel.

Shane Hansel, Operations Manager

Shane Hansel works alongside Jerry to facilitate the management and smooth workflow of projects at Glen Arbor organizing Construction. He is responsible for communication between clients, contractors, and suppliers, and for organizing reports and invoices.

Shane has been working with Jerry for the past four years, starting as a sub-contractor and working his way to Operations Manager. With a diverse background in both the culinary and trade industries, Shane is uniquely prepared to take care of your needs.

Outside of work, Shane enjoys spending quality time with his wife and one-year-old son, often exploring the outdoors together through activities like camping, hiking, off-roading, and mushroom foraging.

Jerry Stoops, Senior Project Manager

Jerry Stoops oversees all Glen Arbor Construction projects, managing residential construction projects from inception to completion and working closely with customers every step of the way to understand and execute on their vision.

Jerry’s extensive experience in residential construction includes over 25 years of experience in the trades and project management.  Having held his contractor’s license since 1999, he applies his vast skill set to every aspect of Glen Arbor Construction’s projects from inception to completion.

A native to the Grand Traverse area, Jerry and his family live in Lake Ann, Michigan; he enjoys camping, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Clay Lannen, Project Manager

Clay Lannen manages projects in the field, coordinating daily work with the team to keep projects on schedule.  He is responsible for the timely delivery of materials to each jobsite and monitoring progress.

Having worked as an electrician prior to joining Glen Arbor Construction in 2022, Clay brings extensive knowledge in the electrical field to assist customers with plans and functionality of their new spaces.

An avid Detroit Red Wings hockey fan, Clay also enjoys Detroit Lions football, music festivals, and camping.
